I've been going to the library since I was about 2 years old. My grandmother started taking me to let my mom have a bit of a break. Eventually, it was both my grandmothers and us three kids going every. single. week. My mom hardly ever went to the library because that was the thing we did with our grandmothers. We even made our own library bags with our Oma. Reading has always been a part of my life.

I know a lot of kids really dread high school while they're in it, but I happen to think that if you put just a little time in, you would probably find some great moments! If you're out of high school, I bet distance has brought to mind things that you actually miss! High school is definitely a time, but I believe there is always something good to be found if we look.
I was in a group and someone asked us if we had any songs that are associated with memories. I only shared one or two but I have MANY! For some reason, songs tie me to events more than anything else. Some people it's taste or smell but for me, it's definitely music. And I have good and "bad" memories that are connected to songs. Today I am going to share just a few :) Mostly these are the ones that come to mind without much effort.
I took a wide variety of classes in high school, most of them through my co-op. When I think about my high school career, it's fun to know that, even the classes I wasn't necessarily thrilled to take, were still pretty good because I loved my teachers and got to do them with amazing people! While Debate and Chemistry (just to name two) were not my favorite things to take, I have some really fond memories from them all the same.
Is it just me or are souvenirs so hard to buy? I want something to take home as a memento of my trip, but I don't have a ton of money or space and eventually, socks and t-shirts kind of get old. (If those are your things, more power to you!) My family and I have found some fun, low-cost ways to bring home a memory of our trip that we can all enjoy!
What are things you loved doing as a child? Things that brought you joy. When did you stop doing those things? Do you think you're "too old" to do them? I say there are things that you're never too old to do and they are things your kids will love that you do with them! Here are seven things you're never too old to do and are fun to do with your kids.
We are getting overwhelmed with stuff. Minimalism is all the rage. But a lot of things have precious memories attached to them and it is painful to think about throwing them away. What do we do? I have a great solution for you!
This is something a little bit different!!! I think by now we all are well aware of the fact that I love to read :) One of my all-time favorite series is The Chronicles of Narnia. I wasn't actually tagged to participate in this but I saw it on my friend Liesl's blog and since I love the Narnia series, I decided I needed to do it myself!
Some of my most cherished photographs are dark, heavy, grainy, soft, or somehow imperfect. Some of my favorite photos that I've ever taken are from early on in my career and they in no way fit my style now. But while I have a favorite style, I appreciate other styles and sometimes a photo would not work if taken in my style. It needs a different look to be all that it can be. I'm going to share some of my all-time favorites with you and explain why I love them and maybe even why they aren't perfect but still have beauty. Ultimately, these photos all pull at my heart and any photo that does that is a winner in my book. I might not be able to explain why but there isn't always words for things. Sometimes you are moved beyond words.
We have two fun traditions that I believe started at least when my dad was a kid. The funny thing is, as we got older, we kids began forgetting to do them and my mom said maybe it wasn't worth doing anymore and now we try really hard to remember them :) Between the three of us, someone usually remembers.
