As much as I love wall art and photo albums, nothing can replace my love for prints. My favorite thing to do at graduations and funerals is look at the photo boards. I love seeing the history on display!! But loose 4x6 prints are no one's friend and buying photo albums to store them isn't high on anyone's to-do list. Enter the image box.

This one is for the high school student who can't wait to graduate.
It's for the college student who is waiting to jump headlong into a career. This is for the new mom who's days seem endless and for the mom of school-aged children who can't catch her breath. This really is for everyone, man or woman, because we all are caught in the same struggle; we all walk the same tightrope. The one that has us trying to enjoy what we have now, while looking forward to the future. Well, I certainly didn't have two trips to Nebraska in mind for 2020!!! When circumstances not related to a certain illness prevented my friends from coming out here this summer, my mom and I decided we would go there again. This time we tried to make it in one day.
I don't know about you but I love to flip through my old photo albums. One of my favorite parts of my graduation party was putting together the photo boards!
Photo albums are much more sophisticated these days and you have two main options when it comes to the kind of book you get: an album and a layflat book. You probably recognize a few familiar faces in this family! It's been such a privilege to get to know KC and Dawson through the many times we've worked together but I'd never met her family before. They were wonderful!!! KC and Dawson are blessed to have fun, genuine, loving families.
At one point in time, I thought I wanted to be an interior designer. While that does not seem to be my career calling, I do still love doing it in my own home.
I am all about organization and utilizing space wherever I can. If I can keep clutter out of sight and/or store things where I would otherwise not be able to, that's a win in my book. Enter... the storage ottoman. Getting professional photos taken is a great step that not many people take. But what happens to your beautiful pictures afterward? I know we live in a digital age, but printed photos are timeless and can be treasured for generations.
Today I'm going to highlight a few options of wall displays that you can get through my print lab. Imagine seeing the smiling faces of your loved ones when you walk into a room every day! That's what you get with wall displays. Have your kids ever complained that they were bored and had nothing to play with? I know a mom who came up with a genius idea to help keep her littlest kids entertained while she helped her older kids with school. If you're not a homeschooler and just have little kids at home and need a way to keep them occupied for an hour or two at a time, I'm going to share this mom's genius hack with you today!!
You might do a newborn session and a one-year session, but what about all the months in between? Babies grow SO. FAST. in the first year and you don't want to miss a moment of it or forget how small and precious they were back in those early months. One of the most special mementos is a frame that holds a photo from each month in the first year so that you - and eventually your child - can see the growth that happened!
So how can you make this special just at your home? I have a few ideas for you :) Do you ever wonder what day to day life looks like for a photographer? What happens when they're NOT shooting a session? How is this really a full time gig? I'm going to be honest here and say that I didn't even know all that went into being a photographer when I chose that for my career!!! I was surprised by what it takes to craft a really great experience for my clients!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
