Some in the media have taken to calling people and organizations who are pro-life "anti-abortion". Words are powerful and the media knows that. This word choice is intentional. Framing people as "anti", showing what they are against, is a negative connotation.

If I asked you what the most stressful part of a photo session was, what would you say? I think you'd say picking your outfits. For so many people, the clothes are the main pain point because once they pick their photographer, that's the only thing they have to do themselves, right? Well, it shouldn't be that way!!!
Today I'm going to let you in on the common things photographers want their clients to wear (and a few things they'd rather you leave at home :) All in all, I think this year has taught me a lot about thankfulness and gratitude. How to look for and find and see blessings. I find myself with a new perspective on how and what to be thankful and grateful for. How about you?
I love working with returning clients!!!! Seeing how kids have grown over the course of a year and building on our relationship is such a pleasure. I was thrilled to hear from Michelle asking if I still had availability this year and even more pleased to know I could tell her "yes"!!
Of the products I've shared thus far, you can use this one to bring joy to others!!! From grad and birth announcements to party invitations to Christmas cards, there are cards for every life moment.
Sometimes little kids are a bit shy and a photo session can be overwhelming. If you think your child might be hesitant to get their picture taken, there are a few things you can do ahead of time that can help them feel more comfortable and confident.
I don't know about you, but customer service can make or break an experience for me. The businesses that are hard to get a hold of or won't take the effort to fix a problem, those aren't places I want to interact with again. On the flip side, the places with great customer service mean that I'm willing to forgive and overlook a lot that I might otherwise not be willing to deal with. Anyone else?
I love the idea of taking photos of your baby every month in their first year!!! They change so fast and I want you to have a photo record of this time. The letter boards, blocks, and blankets are darling and I shared some resources for those in a previous post. Today I want to speak to those who want to get really creative with these photos: themes for each month!!
We took advantage of this highly unusual weather we've been having to do one last outdoor session and it was GORGEOUS!!! Evening sessions are always my favorite but evenings in the fall... it's unlike any other time of year.
The little guy was unsure of me at the beginning and by the end was bringing me leaves and running all around!! I think I made a new friend, which is always the goal!! We need things to celebrate in life and when I see such a clear example of God working in my life, that is a huge thing that I celebrate!!! His provision and blessings this year are extra special because of how tough things have been.

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
