Ella Duran is a favorite IG follow of mine. She has a lot of wisdom to share as a result of some intense things she's lived through in life. Currently, she's living in New Zealand and I am absolutely loving following along on her adventures there! #travelgoals
Several weeks ago, she posted something about a bridge that really hit home with me and I want to share it with you.

I have a sticker on my computer top that says, "The best is yet to come!"
It's a nice sentiment and could help someone look forward and not stay stuck in the past. I don't recall exactly what it meant to me when I put it on there, but it means something to me. I liked it. Recently, I noticed a contradiction with another quote I have taped on my computer by the keyboard. Which one is right? Elisabeth Elliot is one of my favorite authors. Every time I read one of her books, I learn something new and am inspired in my faith. Through her life experiences, she can put things in a way that just jump out at me and I think, "that's exactly what I needed to hear". These quotes are from her book "A Path Through Suffering".
I think every family probably has at least one. That phrase that has become a part of family tradition. There are certain instances you use it and it has a special meaning just to you.
My family quotes anything and everything that we find funny, but I can think of three particular phrases that we use and have become ingrained in family tradition. Let's be honest. I have kind of an obsession with quotes and I have a lot of mottos. They all apply to different aspects of my life and they're great, simple reminders of who I want to be and what I want to do.
I just found a quote by Martin Luther King Jr. that is a great one for my business and really, everyone should add it to their motto list. I'll confess that I've not really looked into photography quotes much, but I've found several that really say my 'why' well. One of them is by Alfred Eisenstaedt: "It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter." Happy August!! The summer is flying by and I'm trying to do last minute get-togethers with friends before they go back to college. Today I am sharing a quote that really touches me, especially right now.
I don't know about you, but I question God sometimes. Why does He allow this event to happen in my life? Why does He take away or keep away something that I think would be good? Things happen that make no sense in my human mind and I want to know why. Can anyone relate? |
