The young men and women of the Class of 2024 are celebrating big right n0w! Well, maybe not *quite* yet :) But their hard work deserves acknowledgement and celebration so I want to feature, again, the amazing high school seniors that I've gotten the privilege to work with over the past year!

Getting to serve the same family through the years is a portrait photographer's DREAM! Forming relationships, seeing kids grow, celebrating over and over again with them... it's the best thing!
While I have "core poses" that I use over and over again, I don't try and recreate poses for siblings. Each person is unique and their session should not be based on what an older sibling did or did not do. So I was super surprised when I was editing Natalie's session to realize how much we did that was similar to her sister Nicole's session! It's hard to believe that Hannah is graduating! My family has known her/s since before she was born and they were even in our homeschool co=op for a few years. It's always so fun to photograph young men and women that I've gotten to watch grow up :)
This downtown Frankenmuth session was so much fun and we were blessed with beautiful sunshine! I've been to this cute town several times but this was my first portrait session there and it has so much to offer in the way of photo locations! Natalie totally rocked this session and we had so much fun!
You only graduate high school once. Why not make it memorable?
Applications are now open for a spot on the 2024/2025 SJP Senior Rep Team. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help make your senior year one you will never forget! Kensington Metropark was showing off for Liesl's senior photos this fall! It was the one nice day that week and it was PERFECT! Okay, a little windy, but it helped us as often as it was annoying. I mean, look at that photo above!
It was C O L D in Ann Arbor but these girls braved the temperatures so well! I told a friend that I can't believe how cute my seniors are. I certainly wasn't that cute as a senior in high school :) Even though it was cold, I had a blast walking around Ann Arbor with these girls and their mom.
We beat the weather again! Moving Trevor's session date worked out in our favor and Ford Field in Northville was an excellent location for this amazing senior!
I know that some people are shifting away from printing wallets of their senior photos for their grad party, (sadly), but many still do. However, it is also a detail that can sometimes be forgotten until the last minute. What do you do?
Senior sessions are your time to shine but can you do them with someone? Absolutely! But what does that look like, practically speaking? I'm so glad you asked!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
