Oh. My. Goodness!!! Look at this collage! I am amazed at what this year has held for me and I never would have imagined it all. YOU made this possible. I literally have no business without your support so THANK YOU!

Ahh, Christmas Eve!! It might be just the day before Christmas to many, but it's the day my family and I celebrate Christmas! While it is a pretty relaxing day, we have some special traditions that we like to do.
When I was little, my Oma had these ginger thin cookies that were amazing! They were my introduction to ginger cookies. Then, my friend made gingerbread when she was living here and I was hooked! I plan on making gingerbread every December from now one because it is just so good!
I always loved sleep-overs at my grandparent's houses and I think they loved it as much as the grandkids did! Right now, these grandparents have some of their family living with them temporarily and I can only imagine they are having a great time!
This is a family that really loves one another. There is just a feeling with them all in the room together that is hard to explain, but I think you'd see it too if you were with them all. They are just the nicest people and were so great to work with! Back in high school, my youth group used to do a Christmas party and we sometimes did a white elephant gift exchange. It was always hilarious and could get a little competitive :) While elephant exchanges can be fun, but I think Secret Santas are even better!
We were a little late for this session, but better late than never and life happens, you know? Kids get sick, the holidays start, and before you know it, it's December. This one-year session was an adventure because Evie is walking now! It just makes everything a little more interesting :)
A local church in my area does an outreach project every Christmas called Christmas Basket Blessings. My family has participated for many years now and it is a really neat experience to be a part of.
We have two fun traditions that I believe started at least when my dad was a kid. The funny thing is, as we got older, we kids began forgetting to do them and my mom said maybe it wasn't worth doing anymore and now we try really hard to remember them :) Between the three of us, someone usually remembers.
While you are shopping for gifts for all your loved ones, did you know you can help others with your purchases? It doesn't even cost you anything extra! You are blessing others twice, just by doing the shopping you were already doing!!
My family has done Advent devotions through the years as a family but I've never done personal ones before. This year, I am doing two different devotionals and, so far, I'm really liking them.

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
