We got some flurries in November, so there has been snow in the air. Here's hoping for a lot more! The decorations are up, the Christmas music is going, and I am ready for another wonderful Christmas season!

Each November I challenge myself to find at least one thing to be thankful for each day & WRITE IT DOWN. I have an app and I put stuff in that but I want this written down for posterity. Positivity and gratitude haven't been the easiest for me lately so I think this will be rather challenging this year but that's almost the point. It's easy to give thanks when things are all sunshine and rainbows. It's in the hard days when we really need to give thanks.
Ah, October. The month I don't know what to do with. I've heard people say that our bodies start to slow down in the fall, anticipating winter, and I definitely feel more sluggish in October. Not exactly unmotivated, but more like I'm just ambling through the month. Like a walk with no specific destination. Can anyone else relate?
Happy Labor Day! We're celebrating with family and friends, a campfire cookout and birthday celebrations, and probably yard games. Pretty standard for us but what isn't so standard is we are potentially having 30 people at our house! What do you do for Labor Day? Have you ever done the Mackinac Bridge walk? I really want to do that some day!
Every once in a while this happens. I usually stay on top of my posts and have them all set to go a few weeks out. But then days like today happens. Life caught up to me and a post needed to go live and it wasn't written. Sometimes that means a post gets skipped and sometimes it means it gets written first thing in the morning. The latter is what we are doing today and we are looking forward to August!
I've been looking forward to July for all of June :) There are some majorly exciting things happening this month and we are starting the second half of the year!
While summer time as an adult doesn't change really, there does seem to be a shift in the pace of life. Something that lets you know, "it is summer". Do you feel it too or is this just me?
Welcome to "I don't know what to write for an intro this month".
My friends and I used to send texts that would say "welcome to" and then proceed to share something random and usually odd that we were doing. Many times a photo would accompany the text. It was a little thing that we did but it was our thing, you know? I like having "things" with people. Is this just me or do you have "things" with certain people and groups as well? Welcome to one of my favorite months! We are starting off well with a super fun senior session that I am doing today and I can't wait to share it with you :) This is going to be a fun month, I think.
I'm sorry. I couldn't help it! This post is going live on March 4th and I just couldn't pass it up :)
You might wonder if there is anything left to look forward to after a trip out West, but let me tell you, there is still PLENTY of things that I am excited about coming up. |
Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
