 I've said it several times this month but 2023 was a good year for me. I pray it was a good year for you, but I know that it won't have been for some. I personally know people for whom 2023 was the worst year of their life. If that is you, I am so sorry and I pray that 2024 will be a better year. As we close out the year, I don't want the month of December to get lost, so we will start with a recap of all the fun from this last month.

 This has been the best year for Sarah Jayne Photography since 2019 and it is all thanks to YOU!!!! Getting to serve so many people with amazing photo experiences this year has been such an honor and I love that I get to serve so many more people through this blog! I made four "goals", which were kind of more like habits that I wanted to build. As the year comes to an end, I wanted to see how I did with those goals.
 Every year, my family writes and sends out a family Christmas letter. I can't post that on the Internet, but I decided to start writing my own personal letter for the blog. I'll post the highlights and link back to each month's recap post if you want to read more about anything. (This is a LONG post!)
 I like traditions but are not bound to keep the same ones going forever and ever. I have fond memories of traditions that we no longer do and I have some traditions that are my absolute favorite and I am so glad that we still do them. There are some things I don't think I'll ever outgrow :)
 I found a new resource this year on Instagram. I don't know how exactly I stumbled upon it, but I am super excited about Good Book Mom! It is getting harder and harder to know what is good for kids to read, so to have a resource like this, geared towards kids ages 0-12, is amazing!
 Music is a huge part of my life. I'm listening to one of my Christmas playlists as I write this. Every year, I look forward to seeing what my year in music was like with my Spotify Wrapped. I guess some part of me is kind of nerdy in that way. I was pretty surprised with what I got this year.
 It's here! The fastest month of the year. Or is that just me? I feel like once Thanksgiving is over, time starts to go at x2 speed towards Christmas. I have to work to slow things down and savor the season.
