"Don't call your brother Simba."
"Girls can ride bulls too." "Leave the swans in the soup." These are just a few of the phrases on my mom's list of "Things I Thought I'd Never Have To Say As A Mom". This list hangs in our kitchen cupboard and we still to this day like reading through it and remembering the crazy things that prompted her saying these strange phrases.

We used to play Two Truths and Lie frequently in my co-op and it got harder and harder to think of things that my friends didn't know about me!! I guess I don't think of my life as being that interesting because I am having a hard time thinking of something many don't know that would be of any interest.
Okay, I've got something. People say (about my food choices) that I'm boring. I like simple things for the most part. The same can be said about my days off. I like to keep it simple.
Man, these prompts are CHALLENGING!
I think that your heart's call fuels what you're passionate about, so my passions and my heart's call are very closely intertwined. People ask the question, "what are you called to?" I'm not so sure it's just one thing, or at least, not so narrow of a thing as a career. I love to make people happy.
No, seriously. Bringing joy to someone by helping them out, giving them a good recommendation, giving a gift, it makes my day. I love hearing someone say "I loved that!" I'm a photographer with no studio, so I work all over the place. My day-to-day work, (blogging, website, email, etc), takes place from home. It's really nice, let me tell you.
I am wondering if I've ever really done an introduction on here about me. I know I've done various stories about my "why" and the photographer side of me, but I can't recall doing a personal intro.
At the very least, it means it's been a while since I have done any sort of post like this, so I think it is time, don't you? I am very happy alone. I spend most of my days doing things by myself. Sure, my family is around, but I'm not actively interacting with them (much to their chagrin). As an introvert, I don't need lots of social interaction. However, even we introverts need support in our efforts. I am so blessed with an over-abundance of wonderful family and friends who encourage and support me in life and business.
"... or you'll fall for anything."
So goes the country song. I was talking to my mom the other day about how hard it is for me to respect people who say something but it doesn't apply across the board. Well, which is it? Do you believe what you say or not? As I was thinking about this topic, I realized that I haven't been in this business long enough to have really funny stories. However, I have one that at least seemed amusing to us at the time.

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you!
