As a small business owner, I love to help other entrepreneurs when I can! I know what it's like and the challenges we face. One of those is good images to use on our website and social media.
I'm so excited to introduce you all to Kenna who owns Viosi Reflexology!!

I have had a love/hate relationship with my hair for my whole life. I didn't hardly get any hair until I was around two years old. When I was little, I had extremely dark, fine hair. People called it black and I got SO MAD! (I was a very emphatic little girl :) It thickened and got wavier as I grew up and also got oily.
From middle school forward, I had to shower every. single. day. The problem was, my hair was thick and took about three hours to fully air dry. Putting it up slightly wet gave it weird bumps and lines. One time, I had a guy ask me, "do you always wear your hair in a braid?" because the only time he every saw me, I had to be to our class early and braids were my only option. Why can't I just let my hair stay down and air dry? Because it gets frizzy and (in my opinion) looks messy and bad. I thought this was just how life was going to be but then I learned something amazing - you can train your hair! I really don't like hospitals or apple juice.
That might sound random, but if you have an experience like I did with those things, you probably wouldn't like them either. It's funny how things can seem to take or last much longer than they actually did. I was in the hospital for less than 48 hours but if I didn't know that fact, I'd think I was there for at least a couple days.
It was May 14th at 4 a.m. when I walked to my parents' room, bowl in hand, so tired of what I'd been going through.
"Mom, Dad. I don't feel good." "What do you want us to do for you?" "I don't know." What happened next started us on journey that would last the rest of the summer but affected our family for much longer. Almost dying can do that do you. I could have sworn I'd already posted about this amazing product!! How have I neglected it this long? Well now I'm remedying that oversight :)
I feel like I should preface this post with some disclaimers:
In the last ten years, my family has started doing more natural remedies and homeopathic cures for things. There are things that in the past we just had to deal with that now we can actually help along in the healing process. Two such examples are sore muscles and bruises.
Arnica Gel is a product that is for "muscle pain and stiffness, swelling from injuries, and bruising". How effective it is depends on the severity of the injury, how fast you apply it, and how often you apply it. I have my own amazing story that I tell people about why I love this gel so much. I kind of discovered it by accident.
I got a bit pink one day and decided to use my moisturizer. I figured, what could it hurt? The next day, my sunburn was basically gone and I didn't peel at all! Since then, any time I get even a little bit burned, I put moisturizer on and I'm good. My dad and brothers get way more burned than I ever do and it helps them. The more severely burned you are, the longer it takes to work, in our experience, but it still helps with pain and peeling. Have you ever discovered a new product or company, found out that it's been around for a long time, and wondered how on earth you've not heard about it before now? That was me with Lilla Rose. They've been around since 2008!! And since they're still around, they obviously sell enough to stay in business but I guess they are a word-of-mouth niche or something.
What is Lilla Rose? They are the makers of the FlexiClip, my new favorite hair accessory!!! |
