 I am a big reader. I usually have at least two books going at one time, sometimes more. Once in a while, you read a book that really impacts you and you just know you have to share it with everyone else. This is one of those books.

 Elisabeth Elliot is one of my favorite authors. Every time I read one of her books, I learn something new and am inspired in my faith. Through her life experiences, she can put things in a way that just jump out at me and I think, "that's exactly what I needed to hear". These quotes are from her book "A Path Through Suffering".
 There are eight of us who have grown up together. We've known them 14 and 12 years respectively. Just recently, my brother and I labeled us The Cohort. Together, we come up with some crazy things.
Back when the oldest of us were in high school, someone came up with the ideas of paint twister and putting in an old microwave all the things you're told never to put in there. Last summer, we finally got around to the microwave party and this summer, we did paint twister.  In the last ten years, my family has started doing more natural remedies and homeopathic cures for things. There are things that in the past we just had to deal with that now we can actually help along in the healing process. Two such examples are sore muscles and bruises.
Arnica Gel is a product that is for "muscle pain and stiffness, swelling from injuries, and bruising". How effective it is depends on the severity of the injury, how fast you apply it, and how often you apply it. I have my own amazing story that I tell people about why I love this gel so much.  A lot changes in one year!!! That's how long it's been since I've seen this sweet family. The baby is now the middle child and there is a new baby who I just now met at seven months! Her brother was seven months old when I met him! Time flies, for sure!
 One of the hardest things I found when I started out on this journey was the over-abundance of choices. There are SO. MANY. OPTIONS!!! What do you do?
There is a reason for the options. Different people like different things. So the things I'm going to share in this post and in the future are the things that worked for me and I would recommend. It's here for those who want and need it.  There is a pregnancy resource center in my community that my church has been involved with for many years. As I've gotten older, my mom has gotten our family more involved in some simple ways.
One of my missions is to promote the value of life and that is exactly what this center does. I believe that the gifts God gives should be used for His glory and given back to Him. Because of those two beliefs, I approached the center to see if they would be interested in doing some photo sessions for some of their clients. The response was a resounding YES!  When you have a bad experience somewhere or with someone, you tend to tell everyone so that they can avoid it. For some reason, we don't often do the same thing with our good experiences. I'm not quite sure why that is, but I'm here to tell you about a fantastic place to take driver's ed if you are in the Metro Detroit area.
 Newborns are so precious!! I am always so amazed at how tiny and perfect they are. Truly, they are blessings from God and no more so than this little guy.
 Sarah is an old friend of mine and she is the author of three books, several devotionals, and she is getting into publishing articles in various publications. I did author photos for her a couple of years ago and recently I sent her an email asking if I could do some updated ones since I have learned and grown so much!
