THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
For outdoor shoots, the best light is early morning or sunset. Most of my sessions happen in the evening, (I don't know about you, but if given the choice, I won't choose to get up and ready before dawn!). Keep that in mind when scheduling your session. Other times of day can totally work, but you'll have the most beautiful light at sunset. Two hours before sunset is the best time frame. It gives plenty of time to get the session in before the light is gone.
With an indoor session, you'll want to choose a location that has a room with lots of natural light coming in (lots of windows or windows that let in light at the time you're choosing). This will provide more even lighting and will result in better images for you.

How do you preserve my family/children's privacy?
For family sessions, your gallery that appears in my portfolio will just have the first letter of your last name. (i.e. The A Family). If I'm doing children, it would be The A Children. For one child, I would generally just use their first name (i.e. Opal - Newborn or Danielle - Class of 2018). On my Instagram account, I do the same thing. If you would prefer I not use names at all on Instagram, that is totally fine.
Do you have a studio?
Currently I do not. I do not know if or when that will ever change. As a natural light photographer, I thrive working outdoors, but an indoor location with good windows is just fine as well. However, I do know of studio spaces we can rent if that is something you would like.
Where are sessions located?
All sessions are done at your home or on location. My Client Guide has suggestions of locations if you need inspiration.
What should I wear?
I have a style guide that I'll send to you when you book a session that will give you some ideas. I also have Pinterest boards with ideas for you!
What area do you serve?
I serve the Metro Detroit area in Southeastern Michigan. Mostly I work in Wayne & Washtenaw Counties and I only travel up to an hour away without an additional travel fee.
How will my images be delivered?
Your images will be digitally delivered via an online gallery. You'll get them within two weeks of your session date and you'll have full access to ALL the photos I deliver. I do not store galleries indefinitely so I HIGHLY recommend downloading all of your photos right away. I will never take down a gallery without informing you first.
What are your accepted payment methods?
Payment is sent via invoice along with your contract and you can pay through that system. It's convenient for both of us! Payment plans are available but the full amount is due by the day of the session.
