What are things you loved doing as a child? Things that brought you joy. When did you stop doing those things? Do you think you're "too old" to do them? I say there are things that you're never too old to do and they are things your kids will love that you do with them! Here are seven things you're never too old to do and are fun to do with your kids. 1. Coloring. You could do those adult coloring books but I've found that kids love it when you color on the opposite page that they are coloring. Even better, have them pick the picture you color. It's very therapeutic. 2. Chalk. I'm not an artist when it comes to drawing but I enjoy playing with chalk with my little friends and they love that I draw with them! One time we outlined the child and then drew inside to make it look like a person! 3. Bubbles. I don't know about you, but watching kids play with bubbles brings me so much joy! I even like popping a few myself on occasion. The battery powered bubble blowers bring the experience to a whole other level. 4. Park. Kids LOVE going to the park and I enjoy it too because I still love swinging and if it's one of the rare parks, playing on the seesaw and merry-go-round! 5. Kites. Flying kites can be challenging but if you get it up, it's fun and relaxing to do. No one said this had to be a kids-only activity.
6. Play with sparklers. There is something mesmerizing about sparklers. I like to draw in the air with the light trail, plus, sparklers hold good memories for me. I probably wouldn't do them just for myself but with little kids, absolutely! 7. Play in the sprinkler. This one might be hard to talk myself into unless it is REALLY hot out because the sprinkler is C O L D but it's also very fun. I've known people who put the sprinkler under their trampoline and then then kids can jump and be wet! It's a blast! What would you add to this list? What is something you still do that might be classified as "for kids"?
