Every once in a while, Instagram ads are worth something. It was through an Instagram ad that I found Light & Airy Mobile Presets. I've been on their email newsletter list for some time and their recent email was about how you can easily save your kids' artwork without cluttering up your home! They've graciously given me permission to share their advice with you!
I'm a planner all the way. I've actually surprised myself lately by hearing the words "we'll just see how it plays out" come from my mouth in regards to an upcoming weekend trip! Who is this girl?
I definitely love to-do lists because they help me remember what I want and need to do and help me not procrastinate (as much :) But if they become a taskmaster and lock you in an iron grip, that's not a fun place to be. Enter "ta-da" lists. I am not a mother so one might wonder why I am reading this book. There are two reasons:
1 - I like reading things before I need them. I read marriage books and I'm not married so why not read a book about motherhood? 2 - Phylicia Masonheimer talked about this book and how amazing it was and I thought, "I should read this so that I know if I can feel good about recommending it to moms". I assumed I would like it. Phylicia has a good track record of recommendations. However, my recommendation reflects me. If someone is doing something because I say it would be good, I want to have experienced for myself. So, I read the book and it was FANTASTIC!!! I did an Instagram post on this a few weeks back, but in a blog post I can say a LOT more :)
Those of you who know me or have been reading and following along for a while have heard me talk about Phylicia Masonheimer. (Kristen LaValley calls us all "Phylitians" :) She has definitely helped me reshape and learn about faith and life and especially have a more positive view of motherhood. I wouldn't say my view was negative, per se, but the cultural trends have a way of seeping in if there isn't anything else being taught. My mindset has slowly been reshaped and I was making plans and figuring out how I'd like to do things "when I grow up", which really means when I have my own house and family. Then, I watched a talk by Heidi St. John and now I AM SO EXCITED!!! |
Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
