I say that I made it through May kind of as a joke but also, this was a FULL month. I way over-booked myself and I've got to slow things down. I spent so long not doing much of anything and now it's like the pendulum has swung the other way and I'm doing all the things! Hopefully I can be more balanced going forward.

Well, I've mowed the lawn so it's officially spring :) The baseball season has started and we got off to an awful start but things have been going better lately. I do want to go to a game this year since it will be the last time I'll get to see Cabrera play.
It's time to accept that winter is over and spring is here. I wonder if it would be easier for me to let winter go if we actually had decent winters around here. There are a few things I'm looking forward to this spring so that helps. But we are here to talk about what happened in March!
January was exciting for me because I was very creative and got to set up some ideas that I'm super happy about!! Let's jump in and see what January held and how it went versus what I expected. (I wish it had been as snowy as the picture :)
Everyone is saying it but it's so true. I can't believe 2022 is over. I had one of the best years I've had in a long time. I got to do so much, see so many things, & have new experiences. When I think back over the year, I can't quite believe that some things happened THIS year. They seem like so much longer ago.
This was a good month. It was not too busy so I got to breathe a little bit. I always like to have some margin in my life and November gave me that after many busy months. I saw some incredible beauty over the course of this month. I'm blown away at how much beauty surrounds us on a daily basis, but we miss it so much of the time.
At the beginning of this month I said that I felt like October was a lighter month than the past few months had been. Haha, that's funny! I feel like I've been going non-stop all month. Wow! For a month when I didn't think I had much planned, a lot sure came up. It was busy for sure but so, so fun.
Poof! There goes another month. I feel really good about this month and doing these recaps is helping me enjoy what I do more, as odd as that sounds.
While the weather might stay summery for a few more weeks, summer is pretty much officially over. Most kids are back in school and I am starting to shift my mindset into the "school year mode". I thought it would be fun to do a summer recap along with my August recap. Enjoy!
*Zinnias courtesy of my friends' garden. The beginning of July seems like it was months ago! I spent the middle of this month in Nebraska and anything before that just seems so far in the past now! Our gardens are growing well (anyone want some zucchini?!) and we still don't have chickens but that should be soon! Let's dig into July!
