This was a good month. It was not too busy so I got to breathe a little bit. I always like to have some margin in my life and November gave me that after many busy months. I saw some incredible beauty over the course of this month. I'm blown away at how much beauty surrounds us on a daily basis, but we miss it so much of the time. My conference was wonderful. Some of my favorite parts, ironically, didn't actually happen at the conference at all. I loved having car picnics with my friend and singing along to songs from High School Musical in the car. But I also learned some great things. They weren't really "new" but more of a reinforcement of what I knew. And I met some really nice ladies.. One sweet woman who I talked to for a while sent me an Advent devotional because of the things we talked about. It was such a kind gesture and it honestly has blown me away.
As of this writing, I have gotten and read Stellarlune, the 9th official book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. One thing I do know is that I am too old for this boy drama :) These books are written for middle schoolers but I was much closer to that age when I started reading the series. The Masquerade, book five in the Tales of Tarsurella series, releases on the last day of the month, so I'll be reading it at the beginning of December. I can't wait! The library craft night was fun. We made ornaments and two were the kind that start off in half, so you can glue things inside and create a little scene. The third was a small glass ball that you could fill with tiny items. I made a snowy ball with greenery, a greenery ball with small gold balls around it, and a beach themed ball. Our Thanksgiving was nice. We usually have the Macy's parade on and I enjoy guessing what some of the things and famous people. Usually I have no idea. We played lots of games with our cousins and just had a good time. I've done pretty well with my photo project and my gratitude list. I think I've only missed two days of the project. You can see part one of my list here and part two comes out on the 30th. I hope you had a lovely month and a nice Thanksgiving. May we all be grateful for our blessings.
