Poof! There goes another month. I feel really good about this month and doing these recaps is helping me enjoy what I do more, as odd as that sounds. I survived flying! But seriously, it was actually quite amazing how calm I was. The worst part was landing. And I avoided looking out the window, just in case. The wedding was very hot but beautiful and they had such a good time. I also got to see my friend's grandmother, who is very dear to me. There was the most gorgeous sunset and then full moon and I was just in heaven. The baseball game was also better than I anticipated. We did lose, but it was a close, well-played game. I expected to be creamed. The best part was that I have been wanting a specific player's signature for years and I finally got it!! I don't know if I've really talked about this on the blog but I've been trying to do more things for me; things that I want to do. I'm terrible at actually doing things that I want to do; they are constantly put off for "another day". Well, this month I made soft pretzels and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies just because I wanted to! I also am terrible at just deciding to do things and committing so this month I had the opportunity to go to the Detroit zoo and I just bought the ticket! I think it is hard to fully explain what a big deal all this is but trust me, this is huge for me. We saw two amazing movies this month - Lifemark and Running The Bases. You NEED to go see these movies. Especially Lifemark. Highly, highly recommend. Oh, and if you're someone who cries at movies, you'll need tissues for Running The Bases. But don't let that scare you away! I also got to spend some really good quality time with two friends while their parents went out of town for the weekend. I love that I have the flexibility to do things like this. The Detroit trip did not happen and I don't see it happening soon so I'm going to shelve it for now. If it does happen soon, it will be a nice surprise. Business-wise, the Client Style Guides are done and it feels GOOD! Dubsado setup is coming along but there is so much more than I expected so it is going to be a multi-month project. The other thing is that I'm having to reevaluate my client experience and adjust that as I set up my Dubsado account. One of my clients purchased sessions for her and her husband's families last Christmas and we finally gathered everyone do to one of the sessions! I just love working with this family and we had a great time. The weather was PERFECT! And speaking of photos, I have switched to yet another gallery delivery company but I think I've finally landed in a place where I'll stay for a while. That's my hope, anyway. What did you accomplish or get to do this month? I hope it was a great month and that you feel good about how you spent your time. If you don't, there is a new month right around the corner :)

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
