January was exciting for me because I was very creative and got to set up some ideas that I'm super happy about!! Let's jump in and see what January held and how it went versus what I expected. (I wish it had been as snowy as the picture :) Well, my personal plans did not really happen. Harry Potter and girls' night are looking questionable for happening anytime soon. Between distance and school schedules things are challenging. But I did go walking twice this month.
I made some "resolutions" for this year as a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. They are:
My business plans went well. I got some good work done on my Top Secret Program and just need to fine tune some final details before I reveal it. I also surprised myself with launching my SJP Print Collection. Taxes actually went surprisingly well. I like getting them done and out of the way early in the year. Some other things of note are that I got an idea and started planning for a Galentine's Day party, did our Secret Santa exchange with my monthly friend group, and baked scones! I also had two Sundays spent with lovely people and got to learn some new card games. In book news, a friend of mine asked me to buddy read a book with her for a school project and that was really neat. The book was about Gladys Aylward, who was a missionary to China. I didn't know much about her so it was neat to learn more. I participated in a beta read for an author I really like and I got to read an advanced copy of Daican's Heir, the final book in The Ilyon Chronicles! This was also the release month for Yesterday's Tides by Roseanna M. White. I got to be on the launch team for this incredible book and it was a lot of fun. I don't have many photos from this month. I don't remember to take photos when I'm doing things with people. It's something I need to work on. I have a new friend I've been hanging out with and we still don't have a photo together! WE GOT SNOW!!!!!! I've been ridiculously happy and it just keeps coming! I feel like I live in Narnia and I love it! How was your January? What went as planned and what was a surprise?
