We need things to celebrate in life and when I see such a clear example of God working in my life, that is a huge thing that I celebrate!!! His provision and blessings this year are extra special because of how tough things have been. I was thinking about the word "provision" itself. "Pro" means forward and advancement. "Vision" is seeing. So "seeing forward". Provision is help for your future needs.
Money has been something a lot of us have thought more about than usual this year. I've been extremely blessed to not have to worry about it much, but things are not what they have been at the same time. I was discussing this fact with some friends, how weird it has been this school year, and then within the next two weeks I had money coming in from random and surprising places!!! It felt like God was saying, "I provide what you need when you need it. I know what you need and I've got this." The idea of manna in the Old Testament and "give us this day our daily bread" have loomed large in my mind this year and I saw it play out in small but big ways in the last two months. I definitely am learning lessons on trust and walking day by day. When it comes to blessings and good things, I've been searching for good among the ashes of the dreams and hopes of this year. It's funny how one of my biggest blessings this year (spending so much time with my friend) would not have happened without all the bad stuff. But a recent blessing is that my pastor is staying at my church!!!!! This is a huge blessing for our church but personally, I'm glad to have something NOT changing in my life right now :) From a business perspective, I was expecting a big year of growth and then was preparing myself for disappointment but, while it hasn't been what I pictured (no pun intended), I have been blessed. I've had clients return, gotten a few new clients, and extended my reach and offerings of how I can help my clients. I just had to redefine what growth and success looked like. There are blessings and provisions all around us, if we can change our perspective and learn to see them. I'd love to hear what you've seen in your life this year!!!
