My lab is coming out with new products all the time but I can't and don't incorporate every offering because that would be way too much for you and me! But the introduction of the layflat book has me very excited and I think you should be excited too!

There are so many options when it comes to getting your photos printed in an heirloom book format. How do you know which style is best for you? Today I am breaking down the options that my lab, White House Custom Colour, provides and giving you my thoughts on what I would recommend to my clients!
What was the first thing you collected? How old were you? There must be something in us that drives us to collect. I'm not a psychologist so I don't know what that is, but I am fascinated by it. I've had many collections over the years and they all have different meanings to me.
As much as I love wall art and photo albums, nothing can replace my love for prints. My favorite thing to do at graduations and funerals is look at the photo boards. I love seeing the history on display!! But loose 4x6 prints are no one's friend and buying photo albums to store them isn't high on anyone's to-do list. Enter the image box.
I don't know about you but I love to flip through my old photo albums. One of my favorite parts of my graduation party was putting together the photo boards!
Photo albums are much more sophisticated these days and you have two main options when it comes to the kind of book you get: an album and a layflat book. Getting professional photos taken is a great step that not many people take. But what happens to your beautiful pictures afterward? I know we live in a digital age, but printed photos are timeless and can be treasured for generations.
Today I'm going to highlight a few options of wall displays that you can get through my print lab. Imagine seeing the smiling faces of your loved ones when you walk into a room every day! That's what you get with wall displays. I talk frequently and passionately about printing out your photos and having tangible memories in and around your home. 4x6 prints and 8x10s on the all are excellent and a great start but what about albums and photo books? Why should you make the leap to investing in one of those?
I've been talking a LOT lately about documenting and saving your personal life and I'm still learning and developing my own processes. Katelyn James has been doing this for a lot longer than me and she is starting to share her wisdom with all of us!!!
I'm bringing you part two of an email newsletter series from Light & Airy Mobile Presets! I hope part one was inspiring and encouraging to you and that you're so excited to learn how to get those photos printed out!! Check out part one HERE and read on for what to do now that you have those photos on your phone.
Digital photography is a blessing and curse. We don't have to worry about using up precious film or the expense of printing every photos, but that often leads to more photos than we'd ever need. I know. I'm an over-shooter :)
Labeling and organizing photos can seem so daunting, especially if you are just starting the process. Figuring out the best system for you might take some trial and error but it will be SO worth it, I can promise you!!! |
