These last two months have been crazy busy. I don't know when life was last like this and it's not something I want to become normal. However, it has shown me things about myself and helped me learn. Let It Go
Not too long ago, I would get really stressed and frustrated by interruptions in my plans or when things didn't work right. This month, my blog has decided to be super buggy, which means things posted at the wrong time or not at all, etc. I missed at least one post and it was okay. That showed me that I have learned to let things go and I now know that I have grown a lot in going with the flow. That was very encouraging! Prioritize A friend told me about the idea of seeing the tasks in your life as glass or plastic balls. You have to know which is which because the plastic ones are able to handle being dropped but the glass ones will shatter. In all of the crazieness, it's easy to see everything as glass and urgent, but that isn't true. So I am learning to prioritize more. Say "No" & Set Boundaries It is hard for me to say "no", especially to work. I had a client reach out with an urgent need for photos and I tried to find a way to squeeze them in but I just couldn't. A friend reached out and said we should get together and I had to tell her I'd love to... in November. It's hard! I also am learning how to say "yes" with boundaries. It's not easy but I know that learning it now will help me in the future. The biggest thing I've realized in this season is that I want it be just a season. I do not want this to become my life and that may mean some things have to go in the future to make things slow down. Some people might like living at top speed but not me. I don't like having no margin and I don't like not having time for people. In my opinion, if you don't have time for the important people in your life, then life is controlling you and you're not really living. That's just how I view things. What do you think? Have you learned things from your busy seasons of life?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you!
