I had someone ask me once what a normal week looked like for me. That is an interesting questions because I don't have "normal weeks"! However, I do have tasks and things that I get done on certain days, no matter what else I'm doing. The main thing is, if they don't get done the day they're "supposed to", I just do them another day! By the way, my work space is not nearly that clean and minimalist and white :) Sundays are my set-up for the week. I am off email and social media and I do little texting, just to have a break from technology. I go to church in the mornings and write letters in the afternoon. It's relaxing and refreshing.
I like to front-load my weeks, so Monday and Tuesday are when I try to get most of my tasks scheduled. Whether or not they get done is another story. Monday I have a lot of emails to go through. Tuesday is still the day I make a library run (a tradition started when I was 3 or 4 years old and my grandmother started taking me). I also try to get some blogging done on Tuesdays. Wednesday is midpoint so I assess where I am at and what still needs to be done. Thursday is for LinkdIn and Alignable networking and posting. Friday is for Pinterest. Saturdays are busy days in my family for all the things that need done that we don't have time for during the week. Monday through Friday I am posting and interacting on Instagram to whatever degree the season of life allows. I try to do some sort of education each day and put my more lengthy courses on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I have daily devotions and I am trying to exercise more regularly. Those are my constants. I have a few social activities that happen once a month and then I have spontaneous things that change from week to week. I have housework and tasks of that sort that need doing in and around my photography tasks. I have just enough of a schedule and its stability to be comforting while allowing for things that crop up to be taken advantage of. It's just how I like things! As for my days, I am NOT a morning person, so my mornings can look a bit slow. I often start my workdays still in my pajamas. If you were to look at say, 10:30, it would appear that I haven't gotten anything done, but many days I've been super productive, I'm just still in pajamas :) I like to knock out my computer work in the morning as much as I can. Instagram has become something I do more in the afternoon at this point, and I try to be done with work by dinner time. If I were to summarize it would be that mornings are for the many short tasks and afternoons are for longer tasks. Probably because my brain is more awake later in the day! What does a day or week in your life look like?
