I think this thing gets bigger every year. There was a catapult. Enough said. Seeing the kids' faces and all the joy is one of the best parts of my job. The little ones are just interacting with the world. Older ones are able to actually appreciate the costumes and decorations. I love seeing the creativity of the costumes and what people come up with. Let me tell you, there were a lot of Wonder Woman outfits this year :) I want to add, the lighting with something like this is super challenging. You're going from outside to inside, to an even darker sanctuary; switching between flash and no flash... it's a challenge. So this won't look as comprehensive as my usual work. Event photography is an entirely different beast from portrait work. No idea why this is like that. If you know the people at this church at all, it doesn't really surprise you. That's real licorice in his hat! I asked if he was going to eat it and he said, "probably not". There were actually TWO Candyland trunks, believe it or not. Now you don't need to wonder at the upside-down pumpkin scarecrow :) Punkin' Chunkin!!! His expressions at the boy's black bodysuit were hilarious!!!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
