I don't know about you, but glasses are a HUGE struggle for me. Whether you just take pictures of your family at the yearly reunion or you are a professional, it's a constant adjustment game that isn't fun for the photographer or the person wearing the glasses. Maybe you've already heard this little hack, but I had not until last month and it is the simplest, most genius idea!!! I was talking with my bride and groom for the wedding I did in December and the groom mentioned that he was going to bring an old pair of glasses with the lens popped out specifically for the portraits.
Wait.... WHAT?!?!? How have I never thought of that? I was so excited when he told me that because not only did it eliminate the need for all those minor head adjustments during portraits, I now had a new trick in my arsenal and a way to make the overall photo experience even better for my clients. My advice for all you glasses-wearers: next time you get a new prescription, don't get rid of your old frames. Pop those lenses out and bring the frames along every time you are getting your picture taken!!! It's one less think you have to worry about and one less adjustment for your photographer. Everyone is happy!
