Everyone talks about the "ideal client" or your "target audience". I have had the hardest time figuring out who that is for my in my business. But more and more, I'm starting to slowly get an idea of just what that might look like. My ideal client is the woman who values memories. She writes down the littlest things her kids say and do. She makes scrapbooks and photo books and is diligent in getting family photos and portraits of her kids.
My ideal client is friendly and fun. She appreciates prompt communication and is comfortable using technology. She keeps photos around her all the time and has at least one wall full of the faces of her loved ones. My ideal client puts her family first. She loves her kids and her husband. She's actively involved in the lives of her family and selflessly serves them. She's a hard worker who desires the best for her loved ones. Photography is important to her. Why am I saying "her" all the time? Because, let's face it, Mom is the one who is usually on the ball with photography. From engagement to senior portraits, the woman is generally the one making the decisions. So I focus on the woman, but that doesn't mean I forget dad. He's the foundation of the family. He's Superman to his kids and his wife adores him. He values photography if for no other reason than because it's important to the woman he loves. These are the thoughts that have been coming to mind when I think of who my ideal client might be. Relaxed and friendly. Passionate about photography and dedicated to memories. These are the people who value family heirlooms and appreciate the things of the past while living in the present age with all that it has to offer. Honestly, this will probably change slightly as I do more sessions for more people and I get clients that I just love! I'll have a better handle on just what exactly makes those people so wonderful to work with! But know you know some of the things that drive me when I'm looking for clients. If you read this and were thinking, "that's me!", we might be a good fit for one another. I'd love to talk to you and see if what I offer is for your family. Until next time! Blessings, Sarah

I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you!
