The first person I met was her dad, the grandfather. He was so kind to me throughout the whole day and after meeting him and his wife, I can see where Mrs. G gets her kind personality from. He walked me around the property as I looked for the best spot and we had lovely conversations. After we were done, he walked me to my car! It was the nicest gesture and capped off a lovely session. I first met this wonderful family when my brother and their youngest son were playing high school baseball together and Mr. G was one of the coaches. They are just such a sweet family and it is always a pleasure being around them.
My brother is no longer in high school, but we went to see his team play and I ended up talking about photography with Mrs. G. Her middle son was getting married in just a few weeks and her parents wanted a family photo while everyone was together. The last time they had gotten professional pictures taken of their whole family, the youngest two grandkids were not yet born! Grandma and Grandpa wanted a picture while everyone was together for the wedding and we were able to make that happen. Some people think that working with large groups of people is hard, but not if they are like this family! They were such pros. Always smiling (maybe everyone was excited for the wedding?!), posing perfectly... they were a dream to work with. If you didn't know better, I don't think you'd ever have known they were getting ready for their son/grandson/nephew to get married in just a few hours! They were so relaxed and easy going. I really only knew three of them prior to the session, but the rest of the family was so nice and sweet. I wouldn't have expected anything else. In the midst of a big day, I am so happy I was able to help them freeze this moment in time. It was an honor and a privilege to do this for you and be a small part of helping you remember this special day. Enjoy this sneak peak of your photos!!
