I'm not sure spring is really here. We had not one but TWO snowfalls this month. Nothing huge, but it did stick to the grass. It's much prettier than rain, but I know that it's not great when one wants to start a garden. Speaking of... We got our gardens tilled this month. There is a massive garden (50'x80') that will not all be planted at once (thankfully!) and a smaller kitchen garden for herbs and things like lettuce and tomatoes. Thanks to the cold weather, we have planted very little, but my dad did plant some potatoes. Easter was wonderful! We got to celebrate all our traditions this year for the first time since 2019 and it was just a very nice day. Easter Sunday is the most full church ever is and I love the sound of so many voices lifted in song and participating in the liturgy. It's so special. We got our old house on the market and accepted an offer!!! There are still a LOT of steps where things can fall through, but the process is in motion. It's so nice to be done working on another house! April brought a few random fun things. The regular season started for baseball, I bought a pair of Creative Well Co. earrings, and I got book #4 of The Tales Of Tarsurella!!! It's a series of self-published books and I just love them! It's a massive book and I've already read it :) I also got to go see a movie with a friend. I have not been to a theater in a LONG time. I'm enjoying my new habit of working one day a week from the library. I get to spend some uninterrupted time on whatever project needs my attention and gives me a change of scenery from my usual office - my room. I got Canon Connect set up and did a few test photos with it. I'm hoping to be able to take more photos of myself to use on here and on Instagram. I don't really have a wardrobe that matches my aesthetic but we'll see what we can do. Business-wise, I had a senior session and got to implement my new booking method. We had to go with our backup date but it all worked out so well. How was your April? Anything fun and surprising that happened to you? How did you celebrate Easter?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
