I just got back from a trip (post on that to come soon!) and I'm still catching up, so today's post is a little shorter, but it's something fun we did on our trip to pass some time! It was pretty funny. Have you ever looked up your birthday in the books of the Bible? You pick a book and go to the chapter that corresponds to the month you were born and then the verse is the day you were born.
This had come up in our church youth group right before we left on our trip, so my dad and brothers wanted to do it. We started in Genesis and read the "Bible birthday verse" for each family member (when available) all the way through the Bible! Sometimes there weren't enough chapters for certain people to have a verse and other times there weren't enough verses in the right chapter! The hilarity came because obviously you're pulling verses randomly with this method so sometimes you get part of a verse with no context and other times you get something really awful. (We did skip Song of Solomon. Mom or Dad will have to look up the verses on their own and then tell us ours if they are appropriate to be shared). How many of you have done this, at least partially, or have heard about it? Is there other fun things to do with birthdates? I'd love to hear about them because we had a great time doing this one!
