I feel like I'm always searching for the perfect planner. I've used a lot of different ones and I'm going to share with you what I've liked and didn't like about each one! Eccolo Ltd planner. My friend gave me this planner that I used in 2017 and I LOVED IT!!! Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the same one since. I would totally use it every year. There are tabs for each month and at the beginning of each month there is a section for goals, to-dos, birthdays, and anniversaries. Then you have the month laid out in calendar format and then you have each week. Each day had a blank box segment and a lined segment. I loved that aspect. The only thing it was missing that I would have liked was a place to put things I wanted to do or remember but didn't want to put on a specific day. I did like the quotes, but I would have traded them for that note space. Would buy again.
Passion Planner. The first downside of this planner is that it is so big!!! This one didn't work all that well for me because I am not the kind of person it's intended for. I don't do big goals and the like. Or at least, I don't use my planner for them. I also don't plan my days by time, so that aspect was not important. I liked the space to record good things that happened (cultivating gratitude) and the designated space for work versus personal to-dos. There was also a large blank space for notes or whatever. All in all, there was too much about this planner that I didn't use, but it is a very nice planner if you are looking for that much detail. Would not buy again. Favorite Story Co. I like the simple aesthetic of this planner. I love the cover and the inside is quite simple. Each month has a tab and a calendar layout before giving you the weeks laid out. For each week, you have 14 lines for each day (two columns of seven lines). I used one column for work and one for personal stuff. It also has a nice elastic band to keep it closed or use as a page marker. I used this planner for 2019 & 2020 and the only downside was the lack of note space in the weekly pages. Bought twice. Would buy again. Sugar Paper LA. This is the most elegant planner I've used. Sugar Paper products are beautiful!!! It's a good size for my bookshelf and also has the monthly tabs. This is the first planner since the Passion Planner that has had note space and a place for things that I don't need or want to go on a certain day! I love that about it! I sometimes utilized the space at the beginning of the month for personal and work goals. Then each week has the week laid out on one page with the extra lists and note space on the other page. While I love the note space and to-do lists, I really don't need a whole page worth and it means the days are rather small. Sometimes I feel cramped trying to get things into each day, but that is also because I keep work and personal tasks separated (or try to). Would buy again. This year I am trying a planner I found on Etsy. I had found one that looked perfect and then later I could not find it! So we will see how this one turns out. Are you a paper planner person? What has been your favorite planner? Do you try a different brand each year or have you found the one that works best for you?
