If you want to get a jump start on next year's Christmas list or are looking for unique gifts for other occasions, I've rounded up some of my favorite personal gifts that also support small businesses and entrepreneurs!! Old Man Sullivan's is a coffee company started by my friend Jordan and his wife Heather. In full disclosure, I'm not a coffee drinker but I know this couple and they don't do anything that isn't amazing and my coffee drinking friends who've had it rave about it!! They also sell Christmas boxes full of their amazing products (this is available at Easter too). It's not just coffee, you can get other homemade goodies as well - including Jordan's famous chocolate chip cookies that he serves to his wedding clients! (He's a photographer as well, that's how we met). Emrie is the little sister of another photographer friend of mine and she is a very talented artist! She creates portraits based on photographs, house portraits, and she paints almost anything! If you want something one-of-a-kind, Emrie is your girl! You can find her on Facebook for more photos and to place an order. Smiling Tree Toys is a new company that I can't quite remember how I found but I love that their toys are simple, no flashing lights and noises, and are wood rather than plastic. There is a quality to them that feels lasting and old-fashioned. They are also highly personal, with most gifts able to have the recipients name on them. They have things for all ages and more than just toys!!! These are just a few businesses that I know of where you can get truly unique gifts for your loved ones. And it doesn't have to just be for Christmas! Birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, graduations... the list could go on! What are your favorite small businesses to shop? Let me know in the comments!! Photo by Element5 Digital on Unsplash

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
