Sometimes I wonder how I have time to do anything extra when I have so many daily tasks! I'm mostly joking but it's astonishing how many things have to be done every day. Even though I try really hard to do certain things every single day, sometimes things happen and stuff slips through the cracks. I have grace for myself and just start again tomrrow! Besides the obvious (shower, brushing teeth, eating), my daily "non-negotiables" are really more of things I make an extreme effort to do. I try very hard to do daily devotions and pray for the world using Operation World's daily prompts. During baseball season, I keep a record of what the Tigers are doing and try to do that each morning. I am in charge of dishes in my home so that is something I have to keep up on and I try to read at least a little bit each day! I also am committed to doing something for my business each weekday.
In the past, I've done a daily journal and I think I need to get back to that. I'd like to develop a better prayer habit and exercise more consistently (that's an on-again-off-again battle for me in both areas). The Tigers record is probably - most likely - in its last year of existence. Life is changing and I need to let go of some daily things. What's really funny to me is that most of my "daily non-negotiables" are only for my weekdays. Weekends have their own rhythm and routine, so how "non-negotiable" are these things really? I'd love to know what things you need everyday for the day to feel complete! Leave them down in the comments!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
