This might be my favorite non-chocolate dessert. At least my favorite non-chocolate cake :) It's lemon-y, moist (from the pudding), and utterly delicious. The challenge every time I make it is to balance letting it cool long enough in the pan but not so long that it sticks. Of course, it helps to have the right amount of grease on the pan as well. All of it is experience and balance. There aren't measurements or exacts to every part of baking. My days and weeks aren't exact either, but I am finding a rhythm of sorts. In case it's not obvious, I am something of a planner and like to have a routine. I enjoy lazy days but most of the time I like to have a purpose and a goal (at least one) to do every day. My planner is even more helpful to me right now. I can put down what I want to do and it helps motivate me.
Every April is my "spring clean" of my room. I actually really enjoy cleaning my room. My closets and shelves get put back together, things look organized, and sometimes I find things I was missing!!! I could probably do it all in one or two days, but I like to do it over about a week; a little at a time. My room looks and feels really good right now. My friend stopped by earlier this week and dropped of a book she'd borrowed a few months ago. I asked her to put it in a bag between my screen door and front door. She did and in the bag were a few other things! It was such a sweet gesture and her note is saved in my journal. Another friend sent me a note in the mail - just because! I love to get mail so it really made my day. My brothers have a weekly Bible study. One of the boys in the group has an older sister who is a friend of mine. We have started doing Zoom calls while our brothers do their thing. She has studies she does with She Reads Truth and I'm joining her to do 1, 2, & 3 John. I finished watching Liv & Maddie on Netflix (just in time :) It was a cute show, funny & fun. I'm glad I got the opportunity to watch it. I've been listening to recommended Taylor Swift albums lately. I like her voice but I just never really listened to her in general. She has a lot of fun songs. I'll be starting a quarantine life group soon that is a part of my young adult group. It will be nice to feel connected to them again. I have a kite that I got last Easter and have never used. I think I might use it soon! What have you been up to? Have you started quarantine habits and routines?
