People can find unique ways around hard situations. Roadblocks bring out our creativity. And challenges bring people together. I've seen a few examples of this so far in quarantine. My parents are part of our neighborhood network on Nextdoor. A woman posted on there looking for a particular Wii game that we had and we never play anymore. We told her she could come pick it up and she did. In place of the game, she left two oranges and an envelope. Inside was a thank you note and two packets of Emergen-C vitamin powder! It was a sweet and thoughtful gesture. We were able to bless her and she left a gift that is so perfect for the times :)
Last week, the afternoon was shattered by loud, insistent honking. When we looked outside, it was our pastor's wife and four of their kids. They had a sign for my brother that had his name and said "Proud of our 2020 senior". They also brought him a brownie. The stood on the sidewalk and we stood on our porch and talked for a few minutes. Then they left to continue delivering these little gifts to other seniors they knew. It was such a fun thing for all of us and so sweet of them! Totally brightened the day. Have you done or been the recipient of something unique and special during this time? I'd love to hear about it!!!
