Being thankful is a good habit to get into. We should be doing it all year long. But it's good and right to have a time of year dedicated to the focus of thanks.
We have it pretty good here in America and it's so easy to take things for granted. Since we have the essentials and necessities, other things become "necessary" and we chase after things we think we need or deserve that really are extra blessings. I'm as guilty of it as the next person. I don't think that when Thanksgiving was founded, it was intentionally placed before Christmas, but I think there is such value in stopping to reflect on all that we have, all our blessings, before we get to a holiday that has become so much about getting more things. That's obviously not the point of Christmas, but for our culture, it's definitely a time to accumulate more things. I'm thankful for this journey that I'm on. I'm thankful for the photographers who have offered up their knowledge so I can maybe make fewer mistakes than they did and get my business up and running faster. I'm thankful for my family and friends who support and encourage me in life and all I do. I'm thankful for YOU! For taking the time to be interested in my journey and my mission. I'm thankful for all the wonderful families who entrust me with the incredible honor of capturing them as they are and freezing a moment in time for them. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
