That rhyming title was accidental :) I hope you're remembering today while being with friends and family. There are seasons in life when family is especially emphasized as being so precious and important and I'm in one right now. Make sure you let the people who are important to you know and remind them often. Okay, I don't mean to make this too heavy. Let's get to what happened (and didn't happen) in the month of May! I don't even know what season it is anymore. Wait, I do! It's lawn mowing season :)
May was a busy, good month. I got to do some photography and even play with some other kinds of photography to stretch me creatively in other ways. My friend came home from college and we finally watched the last Jane Austen movie on our list - Gwyneth Paltrow's Emma. I love watching movies I've seen a million times with someone who is seeing it for the first time (and enjoying it!). I said at the beginning of the month that I wanted to work on some projects. I did do some more playing with Canon Connect and got my spring photo of the entrance to our woods. I got some good progress made on my referral program and senior rep team projects. They are big enough projects that they won't be done in one month but I feel good about their status. A few things DIDN'T happen that I was expecting. We did not have our open house this month. We bumped it to June for a variety of reasons. It will be happening, just later than originally planned. I also was hoping to finish that dresser I started working on last fall but my dad is using it and we need a good stretch of a few days with good weather. Again, it will happen, but who knows when at this point :) I got to see several of my Bright Lights girls in their spring dance recital and the rest of the girls in the group came to watch them too. I love seeing these girls supporting each other in their pursuits! I also got to go on a picnic with a friend! She planned the whole thing! We got to explore Island Lake State Park and looked for letterboxes. Super fun (even though it was hot!). What did you do this month? Did you accomplish what you wanted to? Where there things you didn't get done? Surprises you didn't expect? I'd love to hear about it! Photo by Chad Madden on Unsplash

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
