My grandparents received a digital photo frame for Mother's/Father's Day and their birthdays. This is not your average photo frame, though. This is a Skylight frame and that is what makes it unique. One of the challenges of photo frames is that you have to connect it to your computer to add new photos or plug in a USB. It involves collecting the photos into one place (on the drive) or searching through your computer for the ones you want. All this effort means that frames rarely, if ever, get updated.
The Skylight frame solves this problem because you can email photos directly to the frame!!!! Each frame has its own email address that you create to be personal for you, and then anyone you give the address to can send photos to the frame. For my grandmother, this means that both of her kids can send photos of their families, as well as her nieces. She can get photos of extended family that we rarely see! This is a perfect gift for grandparents and great-grandparents but families could benefit from it too. We have a digital frame that has not had new photos put on it in years. If we had a Skylight, it would be much more current. Now, these are not the cheapest gadgets but as a combined gift it is manageable. You can see more details on their website. My grandmother loves her frame and I've had a great time sending photos to it! On Mother's Day, I was taking photos and sending them and it was so cool that she already had them!.
