There are a lot of voices speaking right now, but the loudest ones are all saying one point of view. People need to hear debate and alternating thoughts to form solid opinions so I am going to introduce you to some organizations that are working hard to solve problems and speak into what is going on in our culture. Center For Biblical Unity - I don't even know where to start with what I love about this organization. They are humble, they speak truth firmly but gracefully, and they show what relationships between blacks and whites can be! You can check out all of their values and their mission here, but at the core, they are working to show what Biblical unity looks like and it is a topic that we sorely need. I also love that they don't just talk in abstracts. They provide spaces to talk and learn and provide resources that help people actually work these things out in real life.
Every Black Life Matters - The statement "Black Lives Matter" is absolutely true. Every Black Life Matters looks at a broad picture of what is affecting the black community, taking a stance against the murder of black babies and working to promote strong families that give kids the best chance at a good life. Their guiding principles seek to support and enrich black lives holistically. Stand For Health Freedom - This organization fights for the right of people to make their own medical decisions and to choose what is best for themselves and their families. They provide resources to help individuals make their health decisions and offer channels to make our voices heard at governmental levels. They support the right of each person and family to make informed medical decisions. America's Frontline Doctors - This is another organization that believes in informed medical decisions and wants to educate citizens and politicians alike. They encourage discussion and seeking information so that people can make informed decisions. Read all about what they stand for on their about page. PragerU - Prager University is a media-based organization that focuses on reaching and educating teens and young adults (primarily) on current events and cultural topics. They also have a new platform called PragerKids, that brings the content down to an elementary level. They have videos of varying lengths and covering a WIDE range of topics. They also have a book club and a podcast. And they have man different voices to present on their topics. Their 5 Minute videos and Stories of Us are both excellent if you want a place to start. The Fatherhood CoMission - This organization has been around for almost 10 years but I did not learn about it until seeing Show Me The Father. I LOVE that a group like this exists and I love how it is stylized as a co-mission. It's a commission from God and one that we are a part of collectively. Their goal is to promote fatherhood and do what they can to come alongside those who are furthering that goal. Take a minute to read their site; it is really good!!! At the end of the day, all of these organizations exist to educate and provide information to people so they have what they need to thrive, succeed, and make the best decisions for themselves and their families. I hope you take some time to look into these organizations! Were you familiar with any of them before this post?
