Sometimes I come up with a Feature Friday post and think, "I have to have done that already." It surprises me greatly to go check and, nope, I haven't shared that yet! Grammarly is one of those things. I'm sure you've seen the ads online, but I'm going to share my thoughts and experience with you! I'm pretty good at writing and typing. I know how to spell and I try to proof-read my writing but sometimes my brain and fingers don't work together, or I know what I mean and so I miss little things. While I know people will understand, it also looks unprofessional.
On my old blog (still exists but is mostly book reviews now), almost every post had at least one error. It was so annoying. I would see Grammarly adds on YouTube all the time and finally decided to give it a try. After all, I want this blog to be as professional as it can be. I've been pretty happy with the results. Grammarly is not perfect. I've found mistakes after posting when I was sharing to another place. It happens and I have to hope people will have grace. But I know that Grammarly has saved me from having even more mistakes than I currently have. I don't think of it as a crutch but a clean-up tool. Using Grammarly doesn't make me a weak writer but I know I need help sometimes and I got it. I just use the free version for spelling. You can get the paid version and get even more writing help if that is something you need or want. If you want an extra bit of help (and a free proof-reader), you should check out Grammarly.

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
