It was so windy but it wasn't raining so I call it a good day. I've known these kids for years and more energy and sillies you would be hard pressed to find. But that just means I don't get fake smiles! The baby didn't want to pose. Okay. I just followed her around as she explored. A photographer has to be flexible, especially when working with young kids. I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but I got pictures which makes the session a success.
Despite living in this area my whole life, I've only been to Greenmead one other time, but I think it's going to become a favorite portrait spot. It's such a pretty place with lots of trees and sky at the same time. Added perk, there are no hoops you have to jump through to photograph there! This session was super fun because I got to put into practice some new techniques and work on making changes FAST! These kids like to move, so I was moving a lot. All in all, I'm really happy with how what I learned made my photos so much better!! I love learning new things and watching how they affect my photography. I'm so thankful to friends who come out in crazy weather and let me practice on them!

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
