I am brainstorming a photo project that will take me an entire year because it involves taking photos of a particular thing in each season and in different light. I'm excited to do it and I think a similar idea would be perfect for family photos! Pick a place that you and your family absolutely love. A park, a city, whatever. Then, for the next four years, schedule family photos for a different season. You could then do different times of day the following four years or include that element into the seasonal photos. Here's what that might look like:
Or you could do the whole year at one time of day (sunset) and then in future years do the different times but all in the same season. There are several ways to mix it up! A plan like this lets you experience your favorite place in all the seasons, takes one element out of planning your family photo shoot, and think of the wall collages you could create!!! Would you want to try something like this?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
