Colette // Lifestyle, In-Home Newborn Session

There is something so special about newborn at-home lifestyle sessions. Photographing a family in the comfort of their own home, with the newest member of the family, and surrounded by all the things that make them THEM. Colette's newborn session was an absolute joy, especially since my favorite newborn sessions are the ones that have older siblings! You never know what gems you might get when a toddler is involved :)

This is my first time working with this family alone, but I have worked with their extended family several times and the father used to be one of my youth leaders! It was nice to see them all again and meet the newest member of the family - Colette!

I always encourage using special elements in newborn sessions so I was very excited to see the hand-made blankets that little Coco Puff (as her mom calls her) had from family and friends!

Big sister did a fantastic job (for chocolate chips, which I have to say is one of the best bribes I've heard of yet) and was very interested in the giant pillow I brought for her sister. Mom and Dad said she can play shy, but she liked me :)

Colette is so loved and is a sweet addition to this wonderful family that I am privileged to know and work with. Welcome, Colette!!
