Editing takes a significant amount of time. Even with good systems and making good decisions in-camera, post-session work is time consuming. That's why I am an editor for other photographers. I take that time off their plate and it frees them to do other things in their business. But sitting in silence for hours on end is no fun, so what does an editor do to pass the time?
"If you won a $1,000 shopping spree and you HAD to spend it on yourself, what three stores would you go to first?" How's that for a question?!
I've been going to the library since I was about 2 years old. My grandmother started taking me to let my mom have a bit of a break. Eventually, it was both my grandmothers and us three kids going every. single. week. My mom hardly ever went to the library because that was the thing we did with our grandmothers. We even made our own library bags with our Oma. Reading has always been a part of my life.
A question about books?! My favorite! But also one of the hardest things you could ask me, because I read a LOT! And I have a long list of books I recommend. So narrowing it down can be hard, which is why I tend to go with the first thing that comes to mind when I am answering questions like this one.
With it being graduation season, I thought I should share the story of how I had to talk myself into graduating! Okay, I was going to graduate high school, but I had to decide if I wanted to do the ceremony.
"What hobby would you invest in if time and money were not an issue?"
That is the question for our conversation this week! Thinking about it made me realize that I don't really have many hobbies or even interests that I'm not pursuing. Which sounds sad but I have tried a lot of different hobbies and I'm good with what I do have. However, I do have an answer to this question, after some thinking. While summer time as an adult doesn't change really, there does seem to be a shift in the pace of life. Something that lets you know, "it is summer". Do you feel it too or is this just me?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
